The Zeiss LSM780 confocal laser scanning microscope comprises an upright Zeiss Axio Examiner Z1, a tunable laser, a 34-channel Qasar detector and a transmitted light detector. A 2-photon laser as well as a FLIM/FCS module are attached.

Due to the attached modules, our LSM780 set-up is designed for special applications like spectral imaging, multiphoton microscopy, fluorescence lifetime imaging and fluorescence correlation spectroscopy.
