Pint of Science Festival in Cologne
 

Pint of science went live again!

Scientists from the Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding Research participated in sold-out events from May 9 – 11.

Pint of Science, founded several years ago by scientists form the UK, is a unique and outstanding way of science communication. Scientists presenting their work to the wider public in a relaxed and laid-back atmosphere within the walls of local pubs.

This years’ festival took place simultaneously in over 320 cities in 24 different countries all over the world.

Enric Bertan and Charles Uhlmann from the MPIPZ gave the audience an understanding of their research on how plants decide when to flower and which cocktails will help plants to talk to microbes, respectively.

Great atmosphere, great science and lots of fun!
