The Leica TCS SP8 confocal laser scanning microscope comprises an upright microscope stand and six different laser lines. In addition to 3 PMTs and a detector for transmitted light, it is fitted with two highly sensitive Leica HyD hybrid detectors.

The Leica TCS SP8 is designed for standard applications. Due to its two highly sensitive HyD detectors, it is ideal for imaging weak signals.
