Statistic and R Course

AIM: During this course attendees will revise and consolidate basic concepts of statistic and important methods for comparing groups, while at the same time participants will learn how to use R for their calculations.


CONTENT:
The course will mainly cover:
1. descriptive statistics (characteristic values: averages, variability)
2. comparison of 1 or 2 means
3. comparison of more than 2 means – ANOVA
4. Regression
5. ANCOVA
The course will be a combination of lecture (for the theory) and practical work. In the practical part an introduction into R will be given and postdocs will learn how to do the tests in R. There is no need to have previous knowledge about statistics or R
