Image processing and analysis with ImageJ

In this course, the participants will learn how to apply image analysis and processing techniques, using the public domain software ImageJ. ImageJ has been written and is maintained by Wayne Rasband at the National Institute of Mental Health, Bethesda, Maryland, USA. ImageJ is written in Java and it can be run under Windows, Mac, Linux and other systems. Because of the easy way in which ImageJ can be extended, using macros and plugins, a lot of functionality is available today, especially in the field of microscopy and biology. Topics covered during this course are how to install and to start with ImageJ, Image Display and Image Processing, Image Annotation, Segmentation, Image Analysis, Working with multi-dimensional data, and visualization and quantification of co-localization.

The course is covered in two days, 26th and 27th of April 2017, during which the participants each work individually at their own speed with the help of a course manual.
