Maria von Korff wins the Wricke Research Prize

Dr Maria von Korff was awarded on 12th February 2014 the Wricke Research Prize for Applied Research and Plant Breeding. This award recognizes Dr von Korff’s achievements in studying the quantitative genetics of barley and in understanding the mechanisms of photoperiodic flowering control in this important crop. The prize from the Günter and Anna Wricke Stiftung includes 30,000 Euro to be used to support Dr von Korff’s research work. Dr von Korff is an Independent Research Group Leader at the Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding Research and a Tenure Track Professor at the Heinrich Heine Universität Düsseldorf.
