Motivation and Inspiration at the MPIPZ Postdoc Symposium

October 08, 2021

For the second time, our postdoctoral students invited to a great symposium of interesting talks and discussions.

The individual flash talks by our postdocs provided a great platform to discover the different research conducted within the different departments at the institute. It was a fantastic opportunity to learn about individual careers and future outlooks in a motivating and inspiring way.

The postdoc office and the Postdoc Initiative at MPIPZ (PIM) gave an update on their work, and the new head of PR provided an overview how PR and the postdocs could work together for mutual benefits.

A round table discussion on the topic ‘Becoming a PI’ as well as an insight into time and self-management rounded up the programme, providing information important for the next career step of many postdocs.

The in-person interactions and intermingling during the breaks, combined with motivating and inspiring discussions between the researchers, showed once again the great postdoc community at the MPIPZ.

A great symposium full of interesting science and inspiring people!

"I recently joined the MPIPZ, and the Postdoc Symposium was a fantastic opportunity for me to engage with the other postdocs, talk with them about their past experiences, and introduce myself to the broader community. I feel much more engaged knowing all of the different research topics that they are being worked on and skills that people have, and I cannot wait to collaborate and learn from them."
